Dry
Ingredients of bath bomb recipe: 1 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup citric
acid, 1/2 cup corn starch, 1/3 cup Epsom salts or coarse sea salt
(optional - to add shine to the bomb and making the fizzing action
more vigorous).
Wet
Ingredients of bath bomb recipe: 2 1/2 T. sunflower or other light
oil, 3/4 T. water (rosewater or any other floral water can also be
used), 1/4 teaspoon and up to 1 teaspoon of desired essential oils
or fragrance oils, 1/4 teaspoon borax powder (emulsifier), vegetable
or other natural color (optional).
Method of Preparation of bath bomb recipe:
To
make bath bomb recipe first sieve and mix the dry ingredients
together and stir until well blended. Ascorbic acid can be used
instead of citric acid but usually not recommended, as it turns
yellow when exposed to air, which gives the bombs a freckled
appearance. Then measure and combine all the wet ingredients in a
clean jar, cover the jar tightly and shake well.
Add
the wet ingredients mixture by drizzling it to the dry mixture
slowly and carefully in order to avoid reaction. The bath bomb
recipe mixture is very dry and has to be packed in the moulds quite
firmly to give shape. The bath bomb recipe mixture should hold
together when pressed in hand. Make sure that it is properly mixed
and try to work quickly so that it doesn't dry out too much before
it is molded.

balls. Keep the balls on a sheet of wax paper and leave them for 2
to 3 hours. Then unmold and reshape the balls again. If the bath

reaction will stop.
Dry
